Overview: Development and implementation of the Brexit strategy for the UK’s leading Private Bank. This includes analysing the regulatory impacts on the business and co-ordination of operational readiness activities.

Project: ICB Ring-Fencing

Overview: This work touched every part of the Private Banking operating model and focused on the legal and operational separation of business and retail banking activities from investment banking activities. Probably the largest regulatory overhaul of banking in a generation.

Project: Treasury ALM TOM for Centralised Function

Overview: Design the future operating model for a new centralised Asset & Liability Management function. Aim was to reduce group P&L volatility and maximise maturity transformation. This included review of current technology architecture and identified technology requirements for centralised ALM model.

Key stakeholders: Deputy CFO, Group CRO, Group Treasurer, Head of Finance Change, Head of Treasury FO, COO for Treasury



MORGAN STANLEY

Project: Global process for FX and currency management

Overview: The currency management process was identified as a key risk area by the US regulators and objective was to develop a single global FX process for currency management to mitigate and/or lower key risk areas.

Internal stakeholders: CFO, Head of Global Funding and FX, Head of Finance Change, Head of Technology Change, Operations, Global Treasury Controllers, FO FX Trading (New York), Local IT Change Teams.

External stakeholders: Regulators and SME’s (US Fed, SME’s UK / US).



NatWest Markets (formerly RBS GBM)

Project: Post merger integration of ABN AMRO into the RBS investment banking operations.

Overview: Strategic review of shared service centre assets in Asia, Europe and UK. This included business operating model assessment, developing transition methodology and setting up a 3 year implementation roadmap.

Internal Stakeholders: CFO, Head of Product Control, Securitisation and RE, Head of Finance Control, Treasury CFO/COO, Head of Shared Services

Project: Global Finance TOM

Overview: Develop and propose Global Finance TOM options for senior stakeholders. Worked with senior finance stakeholders to develop global target operating model options for the global finance function. The report, findings and recommendations were prepared for senior finance leadership.

Internal stakeholders: Finance, Global Controllers (UK, Switzerland and US), Head of Finance Change and Finance Business Managers

External stakeholders: Interviews with CFO/Head of Finance from similar organisations and senior level finance global banking SME’s and outsourced / offshore finance service centres.
